Selah...measure, weigh or consider this...

Someone has said:

Christianity started in Israel, then was taken to Greece and turned into a philosophy. Then it was taken to Rome and turned into an institution. Later it was taken to Europe and became a culture. Finally it was brought to America and made into a business.

In the gospel of Luke he seems to indicate that Jesus intended the church to be a party where all the beloved misfits are welcomed home. That’s grace. That’s the gospel. That’s the good news.

We need to remember what Tony Campolo’s mother used to tell him: “There is so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us it makes no sense for any of us to criticize the rest of us.”
