I don't know when Preacher's Wife and I will get back to Denver. I do know we will not make the Democratic Convention next week. We love the city and enjoyed our last visit there very much. But Denver would not have the same appeal to us without these three above. Oh yes, we love our daughter and son-in-law as well. Hopefully we can see them all over the upcoming fall holidays. Poppy and Nonny love you guys.
Preacher's Wife and I got home Sunday evening from visiting our children and grandchildren in McAllen. It was my regular quarterly visit to one of our CFI churches. Things seem to be going well there. Of course everyone is ready for school to start back. I was able to get the girls to pose for me. This seems harder and harder the older they get, especially the one that is moving quickly toward being a teenager. Either the sun, the make-up, the hair, something is never quite right. Anyway, I am pretty sure they will not like this picture. But granddads just love to have up to date pictures of the children.
Preacher's Wife and I are getting ready to travel to the Rio Grande Valley of Texas for the weekend. We will be at Christian Fellowship Church - McAllen, Texas where our son and daughter-in-law pastor. This has been a very busy summer for us and we are looking forward to finishing our summer visits to all our churches. We then plan to take the week after Labor Day off and catch our breath before we finish up the fall semester. Oh by the way I thought I would post a picture of Bo along with Jake. If you remember Bo has been on a National Clinical Trial for a Doggie weight loss drug. I know, I laughed to when Preacher's Wife came home from the Vet and informed me. Anyway, he has lost 6 pounds. We are so proud of him.
My journey this weekend takes me to Longview, Texas. I am looking forward to a little break. This week I have been able to catch up on a lot of honey-do's. Things I just love doing; like standing in line to register vehicles, washing vehicles, cleaning out the garage and hauling off boxes of books that we've collected over 30 years. A man's gotta do what his woman tells him to do. I am off to Longview. I hope you all have a great weekend.
