Absence really does make the heart grow fonder
It's always so good to get home and sleep in your own bed. Preacher's wife picked me up at the airport patted my hand and said welcome home. I said, "thanks, it has been a long trip and I really missed you." But the reason I know absence makes the heart grow fonder was when I walked in the house, Bo our 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel whined and barked until I sat down petted him and let him lick my face. Now that is what I call a welcome home. After that I was off to bed. Now here I am thanks to jet lag up at 2 a.m. Oh well!
